One of my favorite Valentine's memories is a weekend trip to Toronto. I had a dozen roses waiting in the room, hung one of those heart necklaces where each of you wear half from the shower head, and when my partner was in the bathroom, I hung Valentine's decorations around the room.
ReplyDeleteI bought us tickets to Phantom of the Opera and Beauty and the Beast, and we had 7th and 8th row seats. It was super romantic!
I don't have a fav. memory..Time to make one!

My favorite memory is this time we went to dinner at our favorite Mexican place on Valentine's Day and made silly faces at the cars driving by. ;)

My favorite would be my hubby surprising me with a trip. We went to a resort for the whole valentines weekend just the two of us...no kids. It was so relaxing and romantic
ReplyDeleteThe V-day right before we got married, We both needed a little get-away. We went to Cape Cod and stayed at a little inn that had a couples weekend called Cuddles & Bubbles. Food, champagne, and a hot tub! just what we needed!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite memory is from a Valentine's Day about 10 yrs ago. I was tired when I got home from work, but he was acting weird. He told me to get rested up for a little bit, then we were going to go out to dinner. We went to Olive Garden. I love that place, yummy bread sticks and salad. When we got home, there was a heart-shaped box of candy with a white envelope on top in the middle of the living room floor. I usually don't get cards, so I was a little bit shocked. When I opened the box of candy right in the middle was a small velvet box. Inside was a ruby and diamond heart shaped necklace. It was beautiful. After I pranced around about 10 minutes wearing my new necklace, my son told me to close my eyes and hold out my hand. He put another small velvet box in my hand. Inside was a matching ruby heart shaped stone pair of earrings. I was speechless and that's pretty hard to make me speechless.

When my then 8-year-old son brought home a plastic rose from school on Valentine's Day. It was a huge surprise and I treasure that simple gift until now. :)
ReplyDeleteWe always spend the day as a family. Any time spent with them is much appreciated.

ReplyDeleteOne of my fave V-Day memories has no romance. I was on bed rest due to blood clots in my leg and my sister came over & brought my nieces & nephew. We spent the day watching movies, eating popcorn, & goofing off.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite memory is when I made 100 paper valentine hearts out of construction paper, glued white heart doilies to them & wrote the reasons why I loved my husband. I then took them & stuck them to the bedroom wall.
